 
        Our client, a legal firm based in Newbury is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team is a full time role (8 to 5pm) based ON-SITE in the office IN NEWBURY 5 days a week. (parking is available) Job PurposeThe Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with ad hoc duties Responsibilities Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers. Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management. Prepare and post journal entries. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Handle supplier queries and maintain good relationships. Assist in preparing financial reports and statements. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Skills & Competencies Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is essential (2 years minimum) Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent communication skills.
