Position: Full-time temporary Receptionist

Location: Lancaster

Contract: 3 months with the possibility of extending

Working Hours: 37 per week Mon-Fri

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour

Job description:

We are currently recruiting for an organised, motivated receptionist to support the team at Lancaster Probation Service. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact and greet people on probation and visitors professionally, logging their arrival and departure, ensuring the appropriate member of staff is notified and issue visitor passes and security fobs if necessary. Other receptionist duties will include but not be limited to;

* Monitoring and ordering stationery and PPE; logging building faults, tracking completion and chasing up when required.
* Carrying out and keeping record log of panic and fire alarm weekly tests.
* Updating of confidential records and producing a range of documentation when required.
* Issuing of travel expenses.
* Answer all enquiries, while on Reception, relating to basic information about the Probation Service and local Person on Probation support services such as the provision of food banks, referring more technical enquiries to an appropriate manager.

Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Receptionist experience would be an advantage.

Please note, this role will require HMPPS vetting which can take approx. 8 weeks to come through and the successful applicant cannot start in the role until this is in place.
