Join Our Team as a Principal Naval Architect!

Salary: Up to £58,000, depending on skills and experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Principal Naval Architect, you'll leverage your specialized knowledge to undertake engineering activities assigned by the Project Lead Engineer or Naval Architect. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our projects, and you will:
* Assure drydockings of ships
* Conduct ship stability and hydromechanic analysis
* Perform structural design and analysis for various materials, including metals and composites
* Conduct design or material state surveys
* Manage complex engineering changes
* Create and assure structural repair plans for metals or composites
* Maintain Naval Architecture design intent and compliance
* Ensure Naval Authority Key Hazard Certification is upheld
* Provide tasking and technical oversight to naval architects and engineers
* Lead the management of stability and watertight integrity compliance
Your Skills and Experiences:
We are looking for candidates who are not only qualified but also passionate about naval architecture. To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or Ship Science (MEng preferred)
* Chartered Engineer status or a clear path to achieving it within a defined timeframe
* Experience in naval architecture and engineering principles
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
