Site Fitter – Water & Mechanical Maintenance
We are currently recruiting for a Site Fitter to join a small, specialist team delivering mechanical installation and maintenance services across water treatment sites within the Severn Trent region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to step into a lead role, taking ownership of site activities and working closely with a dedicated co-fitter.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance and replacement works on customer sites, including:
Travelling between sites and working on pumps, pipework, rotating machinery and associated mechanical equipment
Removing and replacing worn or defective equipment, including refurbished assets
Isolating and removing equipment for workshop overhaul when required
Working safely in line with site health & safety procedures, including confined spaces and working at height where applicable
Acting as a professional representative of the business on customer sites
Completing basic job documentation and reporting electronicallyCandidate Requirements
Proven mechanical fitting experience with strong practical skills
Previous site-based experience (water industry experience advantageous)
Ability to lead on site activities while working effectively as part of a small team
Full UK driving licence
Basic IT skills for job recording and reporting
Confined space and working at height certifications desirable (training available if not held)Package
