JOB TITLE- INTERNAL SALES MANAGER
Location: Scunthorpe Type: 6 Month contract
Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Job Summary:
* We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the North East Lincolnshire region and the position is a six month interim role focused on strengthening and stabilising the internal sales function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the internal sales team, providing day‑to‑day coaching, performance management and delivering a structured onboarding process.
Main Duties:
* Lead and support the Internal Sales team.
* Deliver the individual development plans already in place, ensuring consistent progress across the team.
* Develop and enhance reporting on key metrics such as sales conversion rates, quotation turnaround times, and related performance data, working closely with the IT team.
* Reduce quotation errors by improving accuracy, consistency, and quality of information provided to customers.
* Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes, including supporting the implementation of a new ticketing system for all sales enquiries and quote requests.
* Improve the overall customer experience through coaching on written and verbal communication, ensuring a professional and customer‑focused approach.
* Collaborate closely with the External Sales team to support growth and alignment across the sales function.
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in an internal sales, inside sales, or sales office leadership role.
* Demonstrated success in managing and developing a small team within a fast‑paced commercial environment.
* Experience working with quotation tools, CRM systems, and sales reporting platforms.
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar technical B2B environment (desirable).
* Track record of improving sales processes, reducing errors, and enhancing customer experience.
* Experience collaborating with external sales teams to support growth and pipeline development
