BID MANAGER East Midlands (hybrid) - ideally based in or around the Nottingham area c£50k generous benefits Our client is a market leader in the Security Systems Integration sector, with almost 50 years' experience of delivering security solutions for high-security, public space, transport, and infrastructure projects throughout the UK and Ireland. They are now seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Bid Manager to be responsible for the management and coordination of the end-to-end bid cycle, ensuring effective delivery of high-quality, compliant, compelling and strategically aligned proposals. Working closely with Head of Commercial and Bids based in Nottingham, the role will support the pursuit of opportunities that align with an ambitious growth plan, providing structured process management and robust governance throughout each bidding activity. Key Responsibilities will for this varied and challenging Bid Manager role will include (but not be limited to): Leading, coordinating and managing the full end-to-end bid cycle from opportunity qualification through to submission, presentation, negotiation support, and contract handover and maintaining overall ownership of the bid process encompassing structure, compliance, quality, and delivery. Developing and delivering clear bid plans, schedules, responsibilities, governance stages, and milestone reviews to ensure timely delivery, along with high-quality content and collateral generation, editing, and content structuring to ensure clarity, coherence, and impact Coordinating the activities of Subject Matter Experts to gather technical, operational, commercial, and value-based content and developing and maintain detailed bid project plans, risk logs, compliance matrices, action trackers and lessons learnt logs. Acting as the central point of coordination for all stakeholders involved in the bid and engaging with internal teams at all levels. Manage clarification questions, customer communications, and support the sales team during presentations, solution demonstrations, or evaluation phases whilst ensuring that all proposals comply with customer instructions, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. Provide regular reporting to Head of Commercial and Bids on bid status, risks, resource requirements, conversions, success rates and outcomes. It is envisaged that the successful Bid Manager candidate will be quality to degree level or above or QBE, with demonstrable experience in line management gained in an electronic and physical security integration environment. You will possess at least 5 years previous experience of successful bid management with Sales / Commercial training advantageous. You will be proficient in the MS suite of packages as well as with bid management tools and CRM systems, with APMP or similar accreditation / membership again proving beneficial.
