School Crossing Patrol Attendant - Cunningsburgh Primary School - SIC08323


Responsibilities

* The School Crossing Patrol Attendant (SCPA) is responsible for ensuring children cross the road safely at the designated crossing patrol point.
* The SCPA encourages appropriate behaviour from the children as they approach and leave the crossing point.
* The SCPA raises children’s awareness of road safety and potential hazards.


Additional Information

Cunningsburgh Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Cunningsburgh. It provides education from Early Years up to P7 for children from Quarff, Fladdabister and Cunningsburgh in the South Mainland of Shetland. The school is managed by a Head Teacher. The structure of the school is an Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Dept with 4 Primary classes - P1/2, P3/4, P4/5 and P5/6/7. The current roll is 79 Primary pupils with a further 30 pupils registered in the ELC Dept. There are 2 part-time ASN teachers assisted by support staff, as required, to meet school demands. The current Acting Head Teacher is Mrs Fiona Johnson.

* The grade of this post is E
* Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour
* Permanent Part Time post for 5.0 Hours per Week, 39.00 weeks per year plus 6.24 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays
* The working pattern will be 1 hour per day Monday to Friday with 0.5 hours worked in the morning and 0.5 hours after school
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update
* A relocation package does not apply to this post
* We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
* We are happy to talk flexible working
