Your new role
Shift Pattern: Monday–Thursday 19:00–07:00
As Production Shift Manager, you will lead the night shift production operation, which consists of 3 lines and up to 15 members of staff. Working 7pm-7am Monday-Thursday, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall production operation, ensuring that targets are consistently hit whilst maintaining quality standards and ensuring a health-and-safety-first environment.
Managing the night shift team, you will ensure that KPIs are tracked and monitored, as well as managing individual performances and appraisals and promoting a culture of high performance. The Shift Manager will ensure general housekeeping on-site and ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times. Quality standards are extremely important, so you will ensure that the production operation consistently delivers products according to thepany's quality specification. You'll also manage any personnel-related issues which may arise, including holidays, sickness or disciplinaries where appropriate. You will report and act upon any potential machinery issues/breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to the manufacturing process.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Proven management / supervisory experience in a production / manufacturing environment
2. Track record of consistently delivering on KPIs and quality standards within a production environment
3. Good knowledge of production processes, machinery and basic maintenance to avoid any potential downtime
4. Strong leadership skills
5. Ideally, you will be either IOSH or NEBOSH qualified in health and safety
6. Ideally, you will be qualified in, or experienced with the principles of, Lean Six Sigma
7. Able tomit to working a night shift pattern of 7pm-7am Mon-Thurs
