Join to apply for the Administrator - Education Leadership role at Somerset Council.
Based in County Hall Taunton with home-working on agreement. This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week. Part-time applications considered. 25 days annual leave increasing up to 28 after 5 years.
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
* Using and manipulating reporting and recording systems to provide senior officers with information. Developing and maintaining acquired knowledge to support colleagues.
* Taking lead responsibility for organising, administering and minuting a range of meetings, many of which will be multi-agency.
* Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries which may be sensitive or complex. Seek to resolve or transfer enquiries in a timely manner.
* Maintaining regular contact with professional staff from partner agencies and other public bodies to pass and receive information, make arrangements or deal with queries.
Experience and qualifications needed
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance. It will really help if you have:
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to prioritise conflicting work demands and make decisions while working at pace.
* Experience of working in an office environment and/or administration role.
* Experience of organisation and administration support to meetings.
* Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, with competent numeracy and literacy.
* Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths or hold an NVQ level 3/QCF Level 2 or equivalent.

Salary, contact and application
Salary: Grade 14, £25,185 to £25,989 per annum.
