UX / Interaction Designer (GDS) – Contract

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll own UX and interaction design across several streams, working closely with internal teams and a very visual client. Expect quick turnarounds, minimal hand-holding, and limited traditional UX cycles. You’ll need to rely heavily on your own judgment, experience, and communication skills.
Essential Experience
* Strong Figma capability, able to design at speed; including during live working sessions
* Ability to prototype using the GDS prototyping toolkit
* Experience delivering services through GDS Alpha/Beta assessments
* Confident communicator who can explain the “why” behind decisions
* Able to handle design/process challenges from the client and push back with rationale
* Comfortable delivering with limited iterations, limited discovery, and limited research
* Can switch between multiple workstreams without losing quality
* Works visually, collaboratively, and decisively
