Overview
We are looking to recruit an outstanding Behaviour Mentor to join our enthusiastic team. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups, monitoring pupils, and recording and reporting on pupils\' achievement, progress and development. The successful candidate will adopt strategies to support teaching and learning and to promote effective behaviour regulation in line with the school\'s policy and procedures. We cover a wide base of schools across Devon and the Southwest.
The school are recruiting for a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor to work with young people aged between 11 and 16 who are receiving their education in a Pupil Referral Unit setting. The Young Offender Behaviour Mentor role is an opportunity to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and help them access education, with guidance and support in both classroom and social/emotional development.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals or groups under supervision.
* Monitor pupils\' progress and report on achievement, progress and development.
* Support the work of the teacher and adopt relevant strategies to increase pupil achievement.
* Apply effective behaviour regulation strategies in line with school policy and procedures.
