We are actively recruiting a highly driven and successful Senior / Account Director for our Business Development team. This role offers a first-class opportunity to demonstrate success in securing new business opportunities.
Senior / Account Director, Business Development
Purpose of the role: The Senior / Account Director will secure and retain business by engaging decision-makers and influencers at clinical sponsors. They will position Trialmed as a preferred provider for early phase full-service clinical development, with a focus on phase I studies. Responsibilities include qualifying deals, developing proposals, defining solutions, and recommending pricing. They serve as the primary contact until the deal is closed and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure successful implementation. They also gather market data and analyze competitors.
Essential Functions
* Lead RFP strategy calls, develop proposals, prepare presentations, and negotiate contracts, aiming to meet or exceed authorization goals.
* Make cold calls and client visits; maintain sales database and activity reports.
* Ensure client satisfaction through regular contact; address dissatisfaction; respond to requests.
* Mentor and train junior staff.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with relevant academic or vocational qualifications.
* 2-5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Background in scientific sales or marketing, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech, CRO, or Phase I site organization.
* Experience selling phase I clinical studies and sites.
* Proven ability to develop business contacts and manage relationships.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
* Experience in sales lead development, presentations, closing, and negotiations.
* Knowledge of sales automation tools and Microsoft Office.
