Job Introduction
The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra is innovating the orchestral experience, championing new music, and reaching diverse audiences through concerts, broadcasts, recordings, and premieres of contemporary works.
Led by Chief Conductor John Storgårds, the orchestra performs globally and engages in community projects, including a new TV series.

Main Responsibilities
* Sitting as Section Principal Harp.
* Maintaining high standards in orchestral and solo performance.
* Supporting positive relationships within the orchestra.
* Contributing to the orchestra’s reputation as a passionate team player.
Candidate Criteria
* Outstanding orchestral and solo skills.
* Knowledge and passion for the repertoire.
* Leadership and collaborative skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
Auditions
* Held at MediaCityUK on June 25th and July 28th, 2025.
* Shortlisting based on CVs; applicants contacted by June 1, 2025.
Audition Format
First round: Fauré Impromptu, orchestral excerpts. Second round: Mozart flute and harp concerto, Debussy Danse Profane, and more excerpts.
