Qualifications

* GCSE Mathematics & English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
* Minimum RSA Stage I Word Processing (or equivalent)
* Other Relevant qualifications
* L4 School Business Manager Qualification, NCSL or equivalent Business Management Qualification
* Experience of administration in a similar environment e.g. public service / office environment
* Experience of administration in a school
* Experience of supporting processes in staff recruitment/development
* Experience of minuting meetings
* Experience of local authority recruitment and selection procedures
* Experience of using IT admin systems
* Experience of school IT admin systems incl. Capita SIMS Finance
* Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
* Ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively and confidentially with persons at all levels
* Ability to work pro-actively to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
* Ability to organise own tasks and time with conflicting priorities, and with minimum supervision
* Ability to work with tact, sensitivity and confidence
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently
* Ability to work on own initiative

Responsibilities

* To uphold the Christian ethos of the school
* Welcoming and liaising with parents and visitors (e.g. Parent Induction Evening)
* To be responsible for the business and financial management of school resources
* To prepare and issue invoices for out of school provision and pre-school collecting fees
* To manage the schools administrative function through planning, developing, designing and monitoring administrative systems and procedures
* To manage the office support and site management staff
* To assist the Headteacher and governing body with income generation activities and in promoting and marketing the school
* Arrange the provision, analysis and evaluation of data, detailed reports and information to the senior leadership team, the governing body and outside agencies including census returns
* To manage the administration of human resources (Oracle Fusion)
* To coordinate and assist in the process of staff recruitment as directed by the Headteacher
* Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Head Teacher
* To manage the procurement process, including securing appropriate service contracts, licences and insurance
* To manage the facilities, including premises, health and safety, lettings and liaising with external contractors and DBE Services (annual schedules and reactive calls)
* To prepare and submit bids for funding from outside agencies, under the direction of the Headteacher, including lettings
* To support the implementation of the school's health and safety policies as directed
* To work within school policies and procedures
* To take care of their own and other people's health and safety
* Commitment to undertake in-service development
* Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people
* Commitment to sustaining regular attendance at work
* Attend Senior Leadership Team meetings and advise as appropriate
* Maintenance of the school asset register
* Act as the School's Data Protection Officer
* To support wellbeing initiatives for pupils as part of the Senior Leadership Team
* Undertake role of second Educational Visits lead (Evolve system) acting as school base contact
* Commitment to safeguarding (Applicants will need to show a commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children)
