SEMH Support Assistant Employer: Teaching Personnel, view to go permanent Pay: £14.25 per hour Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEMH Support Assistant to work in a school in Preston. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to help create a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEMH needs Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons Build positive relationships with pupils to support their development Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs Backgrounds in youth work, care, sports coaching, or support work are highly valued Strong behaviour management and communication skills A patient, resilient and proactive attitude Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) What Teaching Personnel Offers: Flexible working to suit your availability Competitive pay rates Opportunities to gain experience in a range of schools Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Access to training and CPD opportunities If you are passionate about supporting young people and want flexible work within education, we would love to hear from you.
