We're recruiting on behalf of a leading business in Prestwick going through an exciting period of change - and they need a Finance Assistant to join their dynamic payroll team.
Working closely with the existing payroll assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time each month.
37 hours per week, flexible between 7am - 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Temporary contract with strong potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and distribute weekly internal headcount reports to support workforce planning.
* Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries relating to benefits, compensation, and payroll.
* Process payroll amendments and maintain accurate payroll data to ensure timely and error-free monthly payments.
* Liaise with managers, employees, and the third-party payroll provider to resolve payroll queries and issues.
* Monitor payroll trends, identify discrepancies, and implement timely solutions.
* Manage subcontractor payroll processes, including onboarding, payment processing, and issue resolution.
* Upload and maintain pension data, including starters, leavers, and enrolments, and manage related administration.
* Process invoices across multiple departments and raise and manage purchase orders.
* Provide regular payroll and HR reporting, as well as operational support, to the Finance Director.
* Liaise with external benefits providers to administer employee benefits and resolve related queries.
* Support the administration and ongoing management of the employee benefits platform.
* Assist with the implementation and rollout of a global employee recognition platform.
* Support and train managers on the WFM (Dayforce/Ceridian) system.
* Organise and coordinate provider events and related activities.
* Prepare payroll reports and support internal and external audit requirements.
What You'll Bring:
* Confident using Excel (VLOOKUPs etc.)
* Previous experience in a finance role or strong administration skills
* Great communication skills - internally and externally
* Strong attention to detail and respect for confidentiality
* Calm under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
