Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, methodical and motivated worker to take on a housekeeper position within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Outpatients Department. This position covers 4 days per week, with 2 days requiring travel to our Concord Unit in South Bristol as part of site expansion. The post holder will work Monday to Friday, 8:00–18:00, with no weekends or nights and occasional work across Bank Holidays.
The award-winning team includes 23 nurses: 1 Sister, 2 Band 6 Senior Staff Nurses, Band 5 Staff Nurses and Senior Healthcare Support Workers. The candidate must demonstrate good communication skills, be hard-working, logical and well-organised, able to work well in a team and autonomously. Strong IT skills and excellent communication are required.

Responsibilities
* Work as an integral part of the ward team, coordinating all patient facilities and services.
* Order stock, contact suppliers, and maintain stocked clinic rooms and trolleys.
* Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment and act as a focal point for non-clinical tasks.
* Coordinate the delivery of catering, cleaning and ward stores.
* Coordinate and oversee minor maintenance and repairs, together with other specified tasks to meet ward needs.
* Work closely with support services, Facilities Management and other departments as necessary.
* Assist with opening the department in the morning, welcome patients and relatives.
* Ensure the department maintains the correct level of cleaning standards, create and maintain essential checklists, and support nursing teams in new projects for the area.

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and independently.
* Passion, hard-working, logical and organised approach.
* Proven IT skills and ability to use IT systems relevant to the role.
