Our client is a friendly & dynamic Low Energy Building Consultancy established in 2018, on an exciting high growth journey and the Bid Manager role plays a vital component of these ambitions.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Bid Manager, who will be responsible for identifying, creating and managing bids, tenders and DPS applications primarily focused on low energy building projects. This role will involve working closely with management and technical teams to secure new and existing contracts for retrofit, low-energy building and decarbonisation projects across public, commercial and domestic sectors.
Responsibilities & Objectives
* Identify and monitor bid, tender and DPS opportunities within the building services sector, focusing on sustainable building and retrofit projects across public, commercial and domestic sectors.
* Lead the preparation, development and submission of high-quality bid applications, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
* Collaborate closely with management, technical teams and external partners to gather necessary information and create compelling, winning proposals.
* Maintain and update bid registers, track progress and manage deadlines to optimise submission success.
* Analyse tender documents, prepare pricing schedules and coordinate with finance and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
* Manage communication with clients and tender portals throughout the bid process
* Ensure continuous improvement of bid documentation and processes by incorporating lesson learned and feedback.
* Monitor competitor activity and marker tends to support strategic bid decisions.
* Contribute to company growth by maintaining a strong success rate of winning bids.
Person Description

You will have proven success in winning bids for building projects, particularly those involving fabric energy efficient measures, low carbon heating systems and renewable technologies. Your ability to find opportunities, coordinate responses and ensure high-quality submissions will be key to continues growth.
The ideal person will;
* Have proven experience in bid writing, tender management, and DPS applications specifically for building services & construction projects across public, commercial, and domestic sectors.
* Be able to demonstrate success in securing bids for sustainable building projects
* Possess strong understanding of the building services sector, with knowledge of retrofit, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies preferred.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive proposals under tight deadlines.
* Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
* Be proficient with tender management software and MS Office suite.
* Be able to work collaboratively with management and technical teams.
* Have knowledge and experience of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
* Have previous experience in working with frameworks, DPS, or other public sector procurement vehicles (highly desirable).
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' Experience in Bid Preparation, Bid Writing, and Bid Management
* Strong knowledge of Proposal Management and Bid Processes
* Excellent organizational and project management skills
* Ability to work independently and remotely
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field (Desirable)
Package & Benefits
* Total Compensation Package £45,000 to £55,000 (Base + Benefits)
* Base Salary £40,000 to £50,000 (DOE)
