Electronic Modular Services (EMS), a leader in wireless fire detection systems, is looking for a (Junior) Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team. About the Role We are currently seeking two Junior Pre-Sales Engineers to join our growing Field Support Team at EMS. The primary purpose of this role is to conduct site surveys for customers planning to install our wireless fire alarm systems. These customer-facing roles will work closely with EMS sales and support teams on a regional level. We are looking to hire one candidate based in the South of England (ideally near the M25) and one in the North (ideally around Manchester). Full training on EMS products and the specific job responsibilities will be provided to successful candidates. Prior experience in a similar technical or pre-sales support role (around 2 years) is preferred. Key Responsibilities Conduct site (radio) surveys for wireless fire alarm system infrastructure Produce detailed survey reports and coverage drawings Support the sales team by preparing project quotations Assist with local product roadshows, exhibitions, and customer training days Support customers with FireCell text programming information Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors and fire alarm installers Identify and support new business opportunities in coordination with the Business Development Manager Act as a liaison between customers and the EMS Key Accounts team Requirements Knowledge of the UK fire detection and alarm industry Understanding of installation standards (e.g., BS5839) Full UK driving license Strong computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to travel within the assigned region What We Offer Full training on EMS systems and tools Opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic, innovative environment Exposure to leading wireless fire detection technology A supportive, team-oriented culture What You Will Gain 25 days holidays plus bank holidays DC pension scheme Life Assurance Employee scholarship scheme Benefits Central Platform hosting employee reward and recognition initiatives and health and wellbeing resources Bravo Awards which recognise outstanding contributions from all employees and encourage excellence Your journey with us We always aim to provide a fair and valuable recruitment process for everyone.
