Looking for a short-term role where you can step in, steady the ship and make a real difference? We’re recruiting an Interim Accountant to support a busy finance team through a period of change. This 3-month assignment offers plenty of variety and responsibility - ideal for someone who enjoys getting hands-on, spotting issues, and finding practical solutions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll help bring the ledgers into shape, fix discrepancies, and support with reconciliations and year-end activity. The wider AP/AR processing is outsourced, so you’ll be the key point of contact for resolving queries and ensuring accuracy across the accounts. You will be responsible for: Reviewing ledgers and reconciling accounts with accuracy and attention to detail Investigating discrepancies and correcting historic errors Checking and approving payment runs Managing GRNI and supplier reconciliations Supporting with VAT returns and year-end preparation Liaising with AP/AR teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently What you will need: Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Assistant Financial Accountant / Accountant / Reconciliations Accountant / Ledger Manager Proven experience in reconciliations and ledger maintenance, ideally within manufacturing or similar sector Strong Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables A hands-on, problem-solving approach – able to work independently and get things done What you will get: 3-month temp, quick-start role Flexible hours If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
