Person specification
Experience
Essential criteria
1. 2 years as a registered nurse
2. Seeing and managing patients autonomously
3. Able to do telephone triage
Qualifications
Essential criteria
4. Registered Nurse with a Valid UK NMC registration
Knowledge
Essential criteria
5. Basic Ophthalmic condition and treatment.
Desirable criteria
6. Specific ophthalmic conditions and drug
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
7. Advanced IT skills in all Microsoft packages
8. Ability to perform range of specific ophthalmic skills – i.e. vision testing, eye OCT, IOP’s, etc
9. Ability to administer IV drugs
10. Ability to perform ECG, venepuncture/cannulation
