Jewson Major Build Solutions is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a Mill/Yard Manager who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
* Managing a small team Yard/Mill staff
* Producing monthly reports
* Supporting the Operations Manager
* Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
* Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling
* Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
* Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
* Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
* Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
* Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement to help you balance work and life

Required Skills and Experience
* Supervisory experience is essential
* A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader
* A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers
* Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
* Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
