Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home
Location: Ivy Cottage - Nelson (Nelson, Burnley)
Employment type: Permanent - Full Time
Compensation: £34,408 - £37,834 / year (depending on qualification held)
Hours: full time (2 days and 2 sleep nights in a row, followed by 4 day break)
About the role
Ivy Cottage is a solo EBD home providing a safe, caring and structured environment for young people. As a Senior Support Worker you will play a key part in running the home and meeting the needs of your young people.

* Support care plans and help young people achieve their goals
* Lead by example and support junior colleagues on shift
* Promote a safe, clean, and happy home environment
* Encourage learning, development, and independence in every child
* Keep records up to date with care and professionalism
What we’re looking for
* Minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare
* Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare or an accepted equivalent
* Full UK driving licence (essential for transporting young people and attending external meetings)
* A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care
* Ability to work shift patterns including sleep ins (rota given in advance but likely to be 2-on, 4-off)
* Candidates must be able to work in the UK
