Customer Service Engineer
Bradbury International UK Ltd. is a member of The Bradbury Group, a global leader in the design and manufacture of roll forming and coil processing equipment. We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team, working from our West Midlands facility.
The Role
As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be required to give customers the best in class quality service, provide after‑sales technical and commercial support, and develop technical knowledge of highly engineered and automated coil processing and roll forming equipment. You will assist in generating revenue through customer service and spare parts sales, and oversee installations and start‑ups of equipment globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within The Bradbury Group's values and beliefs, at all times.
* Observe, abide by and enforce the Company’s and Client’s Health & Safety policies.
* Always present a professional image to customers whether by telephone, in writing or in person.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, ensuring punctuality, helpfulness and courtesy.
* Develop and maintain an in‑depth knowledge of Bradbury Group equipment and technology.
* Liaise with all departments and other group companies as required on both new and existing projects and potential leads.
* Directly accountable for overseeing day‑to‑day activities within the Customer Service and After Sales part of the business.
* Grow the Customer Service part of the business by providing first‑class service response to new and existing customers, including revenue related to spare parts, service and minor works, upgrades, refurbishments, etc.
* Manage installations, start‑ups and commissioning of Bradbury Group equipment, both domestically and internationally.
* Lead after‑sales and field completion: ensure open issues are logged, worked on, followed up with, updated and resolved in a timely manner and to the customer’s satisfaction.
* Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, method statements, work reports, activity reports and all other documentation.
* Look for potential Bradbury Group opportunities when visiting customer sites and assist the sales department for spare parts, service visits, upgrades, refurbishments and new equipment.
* Offer feedback on future product development, features and function.
* Provide regular updates to Management.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience with Coil Processing and/or Rollforming Equipment is an advantage.
* Proficiency in engineering design software, preferably Inventor and AutoCAD.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Products.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
