Role: Registered Building Inspector (Class 3 G/H)

Location: Central London or Kent offices (projects across London/ South East)

Sector: Property & Construction Consultancy

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + attractive benefits package + 20% target based bonus

WRG is excited to be supporting a multi-disciplinary property & construction consultancy that operates across London and the South East. The business has a well established CDM/ PD department which has grown steadily over the years, with the introduction of the Building Safety Act, the business hired BSA Principal Designers to join the team and deliver the new service to clients across the built environment.

The current team is made up of Registered Architects, the client portfolio has grown substantially over the last 12 months, with the new department turning over £800,000+ and overseeing 36 projects, 75% of which are residential HRB schemes.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Registered Building Inspector (Class 3 G/H) to support on these schemes. This is a significant hire for the business, and they require an expert within the sector, who can join the business and lead on these schemes.

Duties:

* Carryout building control inspections, site visits, surveys and prepare reports.
* Offer advice around the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations and ensure compliance on projects.
* Liaise with Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, MEP, Fire Engineering, Design teams and other parties.
* Undertake plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
* Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the building process.
* Attend client and design team meetings to offer professional input relation to building regs compliance.
* Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
* Ensure projects are completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.

Requirements:

* Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture or similar discipline.
* Membership to RICS, CABE, RIBA, or CIOB.
* Class 3 G/H status.
* Experience of inspecting buildings and properties.
* Excellent knowledge of the Building Safety Act, building regulations, codes and legislation.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
