Would you like to be part of a dynamic and evolving urology team?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and developing urology service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team delivering high-quality care to patients with both urological cancers and benign conditions.

The successful post holder will work under the supervision of the Urology Nurse Specialists and play a key role in supporting outpatient clinic activities. This includes assisting with flexible cystoscopy procedures at the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Mile End Hospital, as well as being involved in equipment decontamination processes.

In addition to clinical duties, the role will involve some administrative and housekeeping responsibilities to support the smooth operation of the service.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a flexible and forward-thinking approach. A commitment to delivering person-centred care is essential.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurses, nurse associates and midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
