An established and growing business in Newmarket is looking for a Payroll Controller to join their Finance team.

You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll and timesheet processes run smoothly and accurately each month.
 You'll work closely with Finance, HR, and Operations teams, acting as a trusted point of contact for all payroll-related queries.
Day to day, you'll:
Maintain and update payroll and timesheet data with accuracy and precision
Liaise with internal teams to ensure all pay changes and timesheets are processed correctly and on time
Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently
Prepare and check payroll before submission
Process expenses and maintain accurate audit trails
Stay up to date with PAYE, NI, pension, and P11D legislation
What You'll Bring
Strong understanding of payroll processes, PAYE, and NI
Excellent Excel skills - confident using formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Highly organised and process-driven with exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in payroll and finance administration
