Ever wondered what it would be like to work for a Trust who not only fully support your professional development but put your well-being at the heart of decision making?

We are delighted that Alternative Learning Trust has two newly established provisions in the Isle of Sheppey. We are operating two schools within one site community and are excited about the wealth of experience and expertise in the building to serve our community effectively.

You will be required to work across both Nore Academy and Estuary Academy Island, depending on the need for either provision.

Estuary Academy Island is our Alternative provision, which initially opened in September 2024 to provide education for up to 115 students. It offers a broad and balanced learning journey for students in Years 7–11, with a range of vocational qualifications as well as traditional GCSEs in core subjects. Our aim is to provide pathways leading to exciting onward opportunities in education or workplaces.

Nore Academy opened early in 2025, catering for young people aged 11–16 with primary needs of SEMH and other related SEN areas such as ASC and communication difficulties. The first phase of opening, which is ongoing, will see approximately 48 pupils join across KS3 and 4, increasing to up to 72 by September 2025. Many of these pupils may have been out of school for some time and need support from ambitious, driven staff who care deeply about pupils’ emotional and academic development.

Our expectations for students are high, and staff within the organisation promote aspirational goals and work within clear behavioural boundaries.

We are currently seeking an Outreach Lead to support students on short-term respite placements or accessing long-term Key Stage 4 provision. Experience and commitment to working with challenging young people, alongside firm professional boundaries, are prerequisites for this role.

Do you dream of joining a team of like-minded professionals?
