At Aviva, we manage our risks to proactively identify and control threats and vulnerabilities that could adversely impact the organisation and our customers. This includes managing risks and ensuring resilience throughout our supply chain.
About the role:
Operational resilience and the use of Aviva’s supply chain are closely linked, as we rely on a network of third and fourth parties to support our delivery to customers. These customers expect services to be available when they want to use them, demanding an ‘always on’ capability. To meet these expectations, supplier risk management and operational resilience are integral to Aviva’s strategy. Your role will involve developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders across first, second, and third lines to manage operational risk and deliver resilience and third-party management practices in line with regulatory obligations.
You will oversee and challenge the work of Aviva’s Procurement and Third-Party Risk teams, monitor high-risk suppliers, and review compliance with risk management frameworks. Your expertise will ensure that risks are managed appropriately and that governance forums address issues and control gaps effectively.
Skills and experience required:
* Experience in operational risk management, including operational resilience
* Experience working with third-party suppliers
* Background in financial services
* Proven ability to build credibility and manage stakeholder relationships
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Salary circa £70,000, dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
