Overview
The Managing Director will oversee daily operations while leading the organisation towards ambitious growth targets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the MD will be entrusted to:
* Lead and develop a team of 75-80 professionals across editorial, design, marketing, commercial, and operations
* Deliver on the company's growth strategy, including expansion into new markets
* Drive audience growth, engagement, and database development
* Ensure timely delivery of content across all journals and platforms
* Achieve profit targets through strategic decision-making and operational efficiency
Person specification
We are seeking a proven leader with an appetite for growth who comes with an all-round understanding and insight into the different functions within publishing or media - including Marketing, Sales and Content - and how they align to drive performance. You'll ideally have:
* Senior leadership experience, ideally within publishing, B2B media, healthcare, pharmaceutical content, or a related industry
* Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of growing revenue streams
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large, high-performing teams
* Expertise in strategic planning, business development, and operational management
* Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
