An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior Vehicle Technician /to join our clients friendly, family-run car garage in Hanwell, West London. They're a well-established, community-focused business looking for a technically proficient and personable technician to take on a key role in their family run, close knit workshop.
If you’re a mechanically-minded professional who thrives on in-depth jobs like gearbox removals, engine rebuilds, cambelt and timing changes, diagnostics, and manifold replacements, we want to hear from you! What Our Client is Looking For:
4. Strong Mechanical Experience: Proven expertise in heavy mechanical work (gearboxes, engines, cambelts, timing chains, manifolds).
5. VWAG Experience Preferred: Knowledge of VW, Audi, Skoda, or SEAT vehicles is a big plus, but we’re open to any solid mechanical background.
6. Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and guide less experienced technicians, supporting the workshop team.
7. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication to engage with employees, customers, and suppliers/stakeholders.
8. Team Player: A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in within a close-knit team.
9. Local to Hanwell: Ideally based in or near Hanwell, West London, with reliable commuting ability.
10. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is preferred, with demonstrable experience in a busy garage environment.

11. Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per year (with potential to go higher for exceptional candidates).

13. No Weekend Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (with a 1-hour lunch break).
