Salary range offered: £32,000-£39,000 depending on qualifications and experience

THE ROLE
Due to growth, the opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll specialist to join the Employee Managed Service (EMS) team at EPI-USE.
As a Senior Payroll Specialist focused on UK payroll, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, compliance, and reporting for our UK-based clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while maintaining a thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation and regulations. As you will be expected to process payrolls from end-to-end and respond to more complex employee queries, this role will require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external teams. Knowledge of other European payrolls is desirable.
You will be expected to maintain confidentiality at all times, comply with data protection (GDPR) legislation, carry out any reasonable duties as requested by line management and act as the key contact for your payroll clients, ensuring continuous improvement in the process.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Process end-to-end payroll for UK employees, including data input, manual calculations if needed, BACS file processing, creation of maternity schedules and reporting.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with UK tax laws, Auto enrolment, and other statutory requirements.
Handle payroll scenarios, such as bonuses, overtime, and commissions.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay up-to-date with UK payroll legislation and regulations, and ensure payroll processes adhere to legal requirements.
Prepare and submit all required payroll reports, including Real Time Information (RTI) submissions and year-end reporting (P60s).
Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
Benefits Administration:
Process employee benefits, including pensions and other statutory contributions.
Address employee queries related to payroll and benefits.
Systems and Technology:
Utilise SAP SuccessFactors payroll software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with the support and basis teams for system upgrades and improvements.
Audit and Compliance:
Assist in internal and external payroll audits.
Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and implement changes.
Provide guidance and support to team members.
Qualifications:
Payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP) is a plus.
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist with a focus on UK payroll end-to-end processing (minimum 3 years of experience).
In-depth knowledge of end-to-end UK payroll legislation required, with other European payroll legislation knowledge a strong advantage.
Payroll operations knowledge; experience in an outsourced payroll environment desirable but not essential
Strong proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
