Logistics Administrator
East Coast Storage is a lively and expanding third party logistics company we have been operating from our King's Lynn base since 1983.
We are part of the Martin Mathew group who are a leading distributor of ambient food products to the manufacturing, restaurant and catering sector.
Working closely with suppliers and customers the successful candidate will ensure that collections and deliveries are completed on time whilst providing a high level of customer service throughout the process. This job offers excellent future career prospects.
Experience in logistics would be an advantage but is not essential.
Key responsibilities:
· Answering the telephone and redirecting calls.
· Updating Warehouse management systems.
· Keeping to daily deadlines on order processing.
· Processing customer returns.
· Some small order fulfilment picking.
· Dealing with customer queries.
· Internal auditing
The Candidate:
* Background in Logistics administration, order processing or equivalent
* Proven experience in working in a fast-paced environment e.g. in a quick turnover logistics facility
* Ability to understand the customer needs and balance against the business requirements
* Excellent verbal and formal communication skills, critical reasoning skills, able to communicate clearly and succinctly and adapt to customer needs
* Strong analytical skills, including advanced use of Excel.
* Proactive logical approach to problem solving utilising lean principles and business process tools
* Ability to make sound risk-based decisions
* Ability to work to critical timelines.
The position offers a competitive salary depending on experience.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm.
