Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Falkirk, Scotland Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Company Overview Our client is a prestigious Mechanical and Electrical contractor based in Falkirk, specialising in delivering high-quality building services across Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Education sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proven Mechanical Project Manager to lead projects from inception through to completion. Role Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical projects typically ranging from £500k to £10m in value. This is a client-facing role overseeing project planning, resource management, financial control, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the full project lifecycle across multiple sectors, from mobilisation to handover. Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and cash flow forecasts. Ensure strict compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures. Attend site progress meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Oversee procurement of plant, materials, and specialist services. Manage commissioning, testing, and project close-out. Support and mentor junior engineers where required. Candidate Requirements Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services / construction industry. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, heating, cooling, plumbing, BMS, and public health). Proven track record of delivering projects from £500k upwards. Excellent commercial and contract administration awareness (JCT/NEC). Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Effective communicator, able to liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field (HNC/HND/Degree).
