Are you passionate about delivering excellent food and customer service? We are looking for a proactive and organised Catering Supervisor to join our Estates and Facilities team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead daily operations across our catering outlets, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, service, and teamwork.
You’ll work closely with the Catering Manager and wider team to support food preparation, service delivery, and hospitality events, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Essential Criteria
1. City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in Catering or equivalent experience
2. Previous experience in a similar catering role
3. Strong customer service and cash handling experience
4. Experience in food preparation, cooking, and service
5. Ability to organise staff and explain tasks clearly
Key Responsibilities
6. Assist with food preparation, cooking, and baking on site
7. Supervise catering outlets and ensure smooth daily operations
8. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
9. Support in-house hospitality services and promotional events
10. Complete daily/weekly paperwork in line with legislation
11. Monitor allergen information and ensure staff training is up to date
12. Provide excellent customer service and respond to feedback
13. Work flexibly across DNCG sites, including evenings and weekends
14. Support students on placement and contribute to departmental development

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
