The business is looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to be based at the Manufacturing site in Wotton, Surrey What You’ll Be Doing Drive improvements in processes and procedures for the manufacture, assembly or packing of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies by investigating new methods and improvements to existing methods. Create, review and update work instructions for production and assembly ensuring they are in the correct format, accurate, easy to follow and controlled through the correct systems. Lead and participate in improvement and insourcing projects. Apply problem solving tools and techniques to resolve issues identified in production and assembly processes. Create and maintain BOM’s and work definitions. Capture learning experiences from the shop floor activities and feed this back into the manufacturing process documentation to prevent recurrence. Liaise with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and updates to existing products. Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling, equipment and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Support production during times of high demand or absence. Candidate requirements: Level 3 or higher qualification in Manufacturing engineering or similar disciplines.
