Pensions & Payroll Finance Manager (6 months FTC)

Role: Pensions & Payroll Finance Manager
Reporting to the Head of Transactional Finance, you will provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial information and guidance to the pension scheme Trustees and serve as a key contact for the Trustees, Pensions Secretary, Payroll, and Finance teams.
This pivotal role allows the right candidate to influence financial perception and demonstrate the value of proactive, forward-thinking management information across the business.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare Pension Scheme Trustee Reports & Statutory Accounts: Complete reports and financial statements with relevant notes, ensuring compliance with SORP.
* Complete HMRC Returns and ONS Surveys: Ensure timely submissions within deadlines.
* Manage Financial Transactions: Oversee transaction integrity, documentation, posting, and maintenance of pension scheme accounts, including investments.
* Provide FRS102 Calculations: Deliver annual financial statement calculations for companies with investments in the scheme.
* Manage Life Insurance Schemes: Handle management and renewals.
* Financial Accounting for Payroll: Ensure accurate payroll cost accounting, reconcile key balance sheet accounts, and manage deductions and payments to HMRC and benefits providers.
Your Profile:
* Experience in pension scheme accounting is essential.
* Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
* Comfortable engaging with stakeholders, auditors, and professionals via meetings, calls, and written communication.
