We are seeking Occupational Therapists to work with children and adults in local communities in Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Monitoring and responding to clients’ needs in changing circumstances, including anticipating and responding to the effects of certain degenerative medical conditions.
2. Developing and setting goals within a multidisciplinary team to achieve short- and long-term rehabilitation and functional gains to maximise independence.
3. Providing equipment, assistive technology, and telecare, fitting these where necessary, and teaching their use to clients, carers, and relevant professionals.
4. Determining necessary home adaptations and liaising with professionals from various disciplines to implement these changes.
5. Promoting access to paid employment, training, rehabilitation, social, and leisure opportunities to support independence and social inclusion, working with local and community groups to make them accessible to disabled people.
6. Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with current policies, guidelines, and practice statements.
7. Implementing strategies to combat discrimination.
8. Mentoring and supervising students undertaking professional training in the work area.
Requirements:
1. Must be a registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC, holding a recognised qualification.
2. Knowledge of current and proposed legislation relevant to Occupational Therapy practice.
3. Experience with Neurodiversity and CAMHS.
4. Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain one; fast-tracking may be available if on the update service.

* Shift pattern: 9am - 5pm (flexible options available)
