We have an exciting opportunity as a Temporary Accommodations Officer within our Temporary Accommodation Service and are looking for a keen candidate to join the team. The main purpose of the role is to provide advice and assistance to households whilst in temporary accommodation. Being a key contact officer in the housing management, lettings and allocations of the Council's temporary accommodation housing stock.
The role will include managing a dynamic and diverse caseload alongside a variety of households and client groups, some of whom may be vulnerable. You will be liaising with appropriate internal departments and external agencies and supporting and directing clients to access a broad range of housing services and, where appropriate, making the relevant onward referrals and signpost to other services.
* Good knowledge of housing management processes.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload.
