Job Description
We’re working with a fast-growing UK manufacturer of specialist healthcare and life sciences equipment.
Their products are modular, battery-powered mobile workstations used in hospitals and laboratory environments. The business is scaling quickly and needs an Operations Manager to support and optimise its production function.
This is not a large corporate plant role.
This is a hands-on, small-scale manufacturing environment where you’ll:
• Improve shop floor layout and workflow
• Drive process and efficiency improvements
• Increase production output (targeting ~30% uplift)
• Refine build manuals and assembly processes
• Work closely with design, planning and purchasing
• Support future ISO 9000 implementation
• Step onto the shop floor when needed
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in small-to-mid scale manufacturing
Comes from an assembly / modular / kit-of-parts environment
Is comfortable both improving processes and building product
Understands production planning and supplier coordination
Brings a low-ego, team-first mindset
This role would not suit someone from a highly automated, heavily layered manufacturing plant.
Salary £55–60k + 5% bonus.
