Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Pastry Sous Chef located in Buckingham. Responsibilities will include assisting the Head Pastry Chef in preparing and baking high‑quality pastry items such as desserts, bread, and other confections. The role involves ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards, managing inventory, and contributing to the creativity and presentation of the dessert menu. The Pastry Sous Chef will also assist in training junior kitchen staff and work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver a high‑quality dining experience.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Baking and Bakery, with a strong understanding of techniques for preparing a wide range of pastries and confections
* Exceptional Creativity Skills for developing innovative, aesthetically pleasing dessert presentations
* Thorough knowledge of Hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
* Cooking skills with experience in a professional kitchen environment
* Team collaboration and leadership abilities to guide junior staff effectively
* Prior experience in a high‑quality hospitality or fine dining setup is preferred
* Formal training or certification in pastry arts or culinary studies is an advantage
