Overview
The senior mental health practitioner will undertake a varied role that includes therapeutic intervention aligned with their professional background and training, caseload management, care coordination, and a commitment to multi-agency collaboration and working. Due to the complex needs of young people accessing support from our team, all cases involve at least two practitioners working together.
Responsibilities
* Provide therapeutic interventions in line with professional training and standards.
* Manage a caseload and coordinate care across services.
* Engage in active care coordination and collaborative planning with multi-agency partners.
* Contribute to a flexible service model that combines clinic-based and assertive outreach interventions.
* Establish and maintain therapeutic engagement using a strengths-based approach.
* Liaise closely with the network/system around the child/young person and their family/carers.
* Work as part of the North Bedfordshire CAMHS Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT), a multi-disciplinary team providing high-quality services to children and families presenting with significant risks and complex mental health and behavioural needs.
Team Context
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and confident senior mental health practitioner to join our friendly and award-winning professional team.
