Barton School is a specialist setting for children and young people with autism, aged 5 to 19. Due to ongoing growth, we are expanding our team and are pleased to offer a Primary SEN Teacher opportunity within our dedicated school community.
Location: Barton School, Barton-upon-Humber DN18 6DA. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum. Contract: Permanent; Term Time only. Start: October 2025. UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
About The Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

Options Barton School provides Specialist Education for pupils aged 8-19 years with Autism and associated complex needs and behaviours that challenge. Based in Barton Upon Humber, North Lincolnshire, we are within easy reach of Barton, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Hull and surrounding towns. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care. 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) We offer a 4DWW trial where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while receiving full-time pay. 4DWW is subject to probation and is not a contractual benefit. 80% of contractual hours for 100% pay is available while on 4DWW, where applicable.
