About The Role
Balfour Beatty is on the lookout for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our dynamic Rail Plant team. Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Championing health, safety, and environmental standards across all activities.
* Supporting project profitability and cost forecasting.
* Managing contract cost reporting systems and tracking financial performance.
* Identifying and managing contract variations and ensuring timely client approvals.
* Assisting with subcontractor selection and tender processes.
* Maintaining accurate records to support claims and payments.
Who we\'re looking for
Essential
* A degree in construction, business, or a related field.
* Working towards or holding a professional qualification (e.g. RICS).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong IT skills and commercial awareness.
* Previous experience in the construction industry.
Desirable
* Experience in the build sector—especially education, accommodation, or commercial projects.
