Overview
We are working closely with University of Central Lancashire to assist with the appointment of an Administrative Assistant on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality administrative and technical support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider Estates Services department.
* Support day-to-day operations across Estates, Facilities, Car Parking, and Helpdesk functions.
* Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, ensuring communications are professional, efficient, and in line with University procedures.
* Arrange and service meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and track follow-up actions.
* Maintain records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Process purchase orders and invoices in line with University procedures.
* Support Contractor Management meetings, ensuring records are up to date.
* Respond promptly to internal and external phone, email, and in-person enquiries.
* Manage Estates Helpdesk queries, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
Qualifications
* GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths, or equivalent experience.
Requirements
* Experience providing administrative support to a large multidisciplinary team.
* Proven experience in complex diary management, minute-taking, and meeting coordination.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database systems.
* Experience working in a high-customer-contact environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
