Our award-winning Communications team plays a vital role in telling the story of how we support people, strengthen communities and deliver real social impact across Scotland.

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications Officer (Digital) to join our high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a values-led organisation, shaping engaging content across both internal and external channels.

The role would suit:

* an experienced communications or press officer with strong digital skills, or
* a journalist with a solid digital background and a passion for storytelling across multiple channels

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Group to create and share compelling, people-focused content. Your work will include:

* producing engaging digital content for our websites, social media channels and staff intranet
* creating and editing video and audio content (and helping us grow this further)
* writing clear, accurate and impactful copy for a range of audiences
* supporting media relations, including responding to enquiries and writing press releases

You’ll also be part of a rota providing a 24/7 on-call media service.

You’ll bring:

* excellent writing, filming and editing skills, with a strong eye for detail
* proven experience producing digital content, ideally within a large or complex organisation
* confidence working across multiple platforms and channels
* a genuine interest in audio, video and visual storytelling
* strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Just as importantly, you’ll be:

* a collaborative team player
* flexible, adaptable and multi-skilled with the ability to contribute across al areas of the team’s work
* a stickler for accuracy and meeting deadlines
* creative, curious and solutions-focused
* a great communicator who builds positive relationships easily, a real ‘people person’ who is ready to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding services.

This is a demanding but highly rewarding role in an organisation where your work genuinely matters. You’ll be part of a supportive, ambitious team that takes pride in delivering high-quality communications that make a difference.

We celebrate individuality and recognise the strength that diversity brings. We want our teams to reflect the communities we serve and warmly welcome applications from under-represented groups.

For an informal chat, call Group Communications Manager Lee Herron on 07867 292078 or email lee.herron@wheatley-group.com

We actively celebrate our individual differences and recognise the collective strength this brings to our organisation. It’s important our teams represent the communities we serve, and we welcome applications from any under-represented groups.

We want all our candidates to shine. If you need any reasonable adjustments to help you feel more comfortable during the recruitment process, please contact recruitment@wheatley-group.com
