Job Objectives and Responsibilities
* Lead Mechanical HVAC team within Hard Services.
* Act as the first point of contact for the client and team employees, proactively addressing customer care and day‑to‑day issues covering delivery, quality, health & safety, environment, and resource management.
* Maintain, repair and install new assets, predominantly fire dampers, AHU units and ventilation ducts, to the standards set by contract, legislation and company procedures.
Main Duties
* Proactively deal with all client queries providing feedback and escalation where appropriate.
* Ensure all planned and reactive works are scheduled, planned, delivered and updated on Archibus in line with contract requirements and customer expectations.
* Initiate stakeholder discussions to identify and agree appropriate safe system of work, promptly preparing SSOW documentation to undertake works in line with legislative, client and MITIE requirements.
* Ensure adequate pre‑job briefs, supervision arrangements, workface inspections, quality assurance and LFE are completed through team operations.
* Take a proactive approach to WIP including progress updates, issue resolution, forecasting, escalation and completion.
* Work with the planning team to schedule all planned and reactive tasks, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources to deliver optimum performance.
* Report all incidents, accidents and near‑misses including non‑compliant or unsafe conditions at the earliest opportunity.
* Deliver regular team briefs and consult with the workforce to proactively engage, address and escal ate issues.
* Undertake workforce audits and assurance on the workface.
* Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required by the business.
* Coach, mentor and develop team members to reach their full potential.
* Provide a clear scope for additional reactive and project works including preparation of quotations/estimates when required.
Experience
* Team Leader / Supervisor experience.
* Experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of Fire Dampers, AHU units and ventilation ducts.
* A general knowledge of nuclear site non‑core operational practices is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to organise work and liaise with multi‑disciplinary operational teams.
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 in HVAC or equivalent.
* Team Leader qualification.
* Full clean driving licence.
* IOSH Managing Safely.

* Mobile position across a large nuclear site, demanding a variety of physical activities to deliver the required service to the client.
