Kick‑Start Your Career as a Level 6 Flood & Coastal Risk Management Apprentice!

This fixed‑term apprenticeship gives you the chance to earn while you learn – working towards a respected Level 6 qualification while developing hands‑on skills alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about what they do.

Responsibilities

* Contributing to forward‑thinking strategies and technical studies
* Supporting vital investment and maintenance schemes
* Helping assess how future developments could influence flood risk
* Applying technical guidance and policy to real‑world challenges

Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact. If you’re enthusiastic, curious, and ready to get involved in work that protects people and places from the impacts of flooding and coastal change, this could be the perfect first step in your career.

Please note that the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a Level 6 Apprenticeship.

If you would like to have an informal discussion regarding the role, please contact Mike Cockburn, Climate Emergency & Environment Assistant Director on: mikecockburn@wirral.gov.uk

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining the benefits of remote work with collaboration in office twice a week.

Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work or meet the Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship. Candidates who require sponsorship should evaluate the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa before applying. This role does not meet the requirements of a skilled worker visa as set out by UK Visa and Immigration.

Please be advised that this is not legal advice, and we advise you to seek your own independent legal advice tailored to your personal circumstances.
