We are looking for a committed Early Years SEN Assistant to join a school in Burgess Hill, supporting young learners with additional needs and helping them thrive in their early educational journey.

About the Role
The Early Years SEN Assistant will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to support children in Nursery and Reception with additional learning needs. You will provide targeted support, assist with individualised learning plans, and help create an environment where every child can progress and succeed.
Responsibilities
 * Support children with additional needs in the classroom and in small group settings
 * Assist teachers with the delivery of individualised learning plans
 * Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions
 * Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff
 * Provide personal care when required, ensuring dignity and comfort
 * Work collaboratively with SEN staff to deliver effective interventions
Qualifications & Skills
 * Experience supporting young children with SEN in an educational setting
 * Knowledge of early years teaching strategies and SEN approaches
 * Strong communication and teamwork skills
 * Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual pupil needs
