Reporting to the Supply Chain & Planning Manager and working in a team 3 other planners, the Production Planner is responsible for all production planning activities within own area/process. Ensuring goods are ready for despatch in time to meet customer’s requirements without compromising factory efficiencies and maintaining WIP and inventory levels within the parameters. The role collaborates with Production and Supply Chain/Commercial colleagues to ensure we're making the correct cable to the correct length and by the required delivery time.
Key role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring that the production plans deployed will result in products being despatched to the customer on time.
* Monitoring finished goods stock levels to ensure they be kept within the parameters when planning stock replenishments and adjusted based on sales forecasts.
* Keeping the WIP generated to fulfill the production plan to a minimum.
* Maintaining of the production orders in SAP; so that the system must reflect forecasted output for the month.
* Issuing of all journey cards (production plans) to production
* Supporting in the reconciling of stocktake results within area of control
We seek a detail oriented and driven individual with:
* SAP Knowledge
* Interpersonal communication skills
* Organising and prioritisation skills
* Previous experience coordinating tasks
* Engineering, project management or equivalent Bachelor’s degree or experience in hands on production planning
